Vintage Wooden Slide Cabinet - Lockable - with 650 Piece Microscope Slide Collection. This beautiful locking apothecary style slide box has a glass panel door which opens to the 28 drawers, each fully lined in a green felt to help protect slides and also giving the item a lovely finish. Each drawer has a white plaque printed with the drawer number and a black handle to help slide the drawer out with. With three compartments to each drawer, it houses the 650+ vintage slides that are included with the cabinet, of various ages and condition. Various species of mammal, crustacean, flora and fauna.
The cabinet is capable of holding more if you wish to add to the collection. Due to the age of the slides detail may be lost due to natural ageing of the mounting medium.This is a truly stunning item and has been well cared for. It is complete with key so can be locked. It is a vintage item so some signs of age can be seen which just adds to this stunning piece of furnitures character. Slides will be packed separately in transit.
