Genuine Original Cooke Troughton and Simms Surveyors Level. This is the instrument to have, and would make a lovely. Gift for a retiring Surveyor. You now have the opportunity to own this beautiful very unusual and rare, perfect example of English precision craftsmanship from the early 1900s. This is a genuine, quality original Cooke Troughton and Simms Level in full working order. This surveyors level has the serial number 37979 and has been collimated (calibrated). The telescope optics are good, and clean, with a nice clear image. This is the instrument you usually find in old films used by Land Surveyors or on display in the Architects office sitting on a tripod or on the mantelpiece. We also restore old theodolites and levels on request. Allot of my sales are to repeat customers. If you read my feedbacks you will see that there are comments from buyers on how well packed their instruments were received. The Tripod is not included in the sale. It was only used to display the instrument.
