In 1886, his fascination for electricity lead him to go to work for Thomas Edison's New York lighting company. Not long after, Perret and his co worker John Barrett opened their own electrical company, Elektron Manufacturing Co.. The company made various motors and other electrical equipment designed by Perret. In 1889, Perret was granted a patent for a small bi-polar motor suitable for an electric fan.Perret motors are rare, with very few having survived. All items must be paid within 10 days.
