DAVIS IS RECORDED AS AN "OPTICIAN" WORKING IN SHREWSBURY IN THE EARLY 19TH CENTURY. THE TELESCOPE HAS A LENGTH OF 110CM WHEN FULLY DEPLOYED WITH A 6CM OBJECTIVE LENS. THE TUBE HAS RETAINED ITS ORIGINAL LACQUER AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH JUST A COUPLE OF SMALL DINGS AND EXPECTED SURFACE WEAR. EXCELLENT OPTICAL ORDER WITH PERFECT FOCUSSING WHEEL. COMPLETE WITH BRASS TRIPOD MOUNT AND SPARE MOUNT FOR FIXING TO A LARGER TRIPOD IF REQUIRED.
