Sputnik WEATHER STATION Barometer Thermometer Art Deco Space Age Germany 80s 70s

Vintage Sputnik Weather station and box. Plexiglas sphere with a brushed aluminium circular thermometer, hydrometer and barometer. There is a decorative chromed cup at the top of the sphere and a chrome handle around the circumference of the sphere.

There is a short chrome stem and a chrome circular foot with a black plastic decorative circular plaque. The weather station swivels around the stem. Very good condition and in full working order. Although we strive to give as accurate a description as possible, patina and age-related wear are to be expected. However, we will always indicate any noticeable defects.

Diameter of sphere: 12cm/4.75. Diameter of brass handle: 19cm/7.5. Approximate weight packed: 1.6kg.
