A Rrare C1880, King Mendham of Bristol Spark Gap Apparatus. This rare example has a brass rail with Machine engraved divisions and 2 sliding Spark Gap Pillars with Ebonite insulated Posts. The Apparatus is mounted on its original Polished mahogany base with makers trade label. Raised on 4 segmented mahogany feet.

The Verniers have course setting on the Right and Fine screw adjustment on the left. There left post also has arc movement to offset the spark angle if required aswell as to set a perfect central discharge.
