Sextant Yacht Sextant C1930 W. & J. George & Becker Boxed Aluminium

A Very good condition and original Black lacquered Finish Cast Aluminium training Sextant or Yachting Sextant. The Sextant is formed as a quadrant and then engraved to 1 degree of Arc as a sextant. The Instrument allows the quadrant principle to be taught and then use as a navigational sextant. The Instrument is in its original fitted wooden transport box with makers label and the sextant has a metal manufacturers label attached to the frame with serial number cast into the rear of the frame.

The swinging vernier arm is lockable at any position on the instrument. The instrument has had a repair to the split lens and the solder needs tidying otherwise the instrument is in outstanding condition for its age. This item is in the category "Antiques\Science/Medicine\Scientific Instruments".
