Mahogany casing with decorative edging and finishing. A brass finial sits on top. Then the thermostat with a raised mahogany surround and glass front. The barometer with silvered back, a brass surround and glass front. Printed on the face is Officially Approved Meteorological Office.

Below and at the bottom is the hygrometer with brass surround. To the rear is a plastic fitment for wall hanging. Measures approximately 68cm in length and 18cm at its widest point. The barometer has been used and enjoyed in the past before being stored away more recently. There are a number of scratches, rubs and marks to the woodwork, particularly to the more angular edges and points.

The brass work has some tarnishing and rubbing to edges and the holding screws have dulled and discoloured. The glass has a few surface marks but is intact and clear. Between the barometer glass and brass surround there some darkening and discolour where possibly a build up of cleaning material or general ageing. This is a really lovely piece that is generally in very nice condition for its age and use. Please check photos for more detail and as part of description.
