A rare WWI era'micro telescope' by the London maker F Davidson & Co, Great Portland Street, London. The Davon micro or super telescope was patented in 1912 and was designed for military use. Most examples were acquired privately by officers, hence the absence of military marking. Nonetheless, they were intended to serve as high end field kit, which is precisely what they are. In need of a polish and perhaps a clean, but all glasses and barrels are in good order, with a smooth focus action.
