Regency period pocket compass c1820. A Regency period mahogany cased pocket compass. Has a rotating blued steel pointer engraved with a'N' and'S' at either end. This floats over a dial card with finely divided points of the compass. The box has triangular hand made brass hinges and its original brass locking hook. It has lost its transit lock. The glass is old and has striation marks (hard to photograph). 78mm x 78mm x 25mm. Please examine photographs as these form part of the condition report.
