Late Georgian/Early Antiq wooden compass in box. Interesting piece of navigational history. The printed Paper rose that Is inside the Compass is in good condition for its age. The Compass needle works well, the Compass and has N on one end & S on the other side.
The to the centre there is also a brass stay which is lifted by pressing a pin on the inside this hold the compass points in place for transit. There is a hinge missing to the box. 5cm x 5cm x 1.7cm.
