This early belt drive generator stands 10 inches tall, 13 inches tall and put out 80 volts of electricity. Researching this has turned up no information as to its original purpose but telephone or telegraph use seems likely. The generator is of iron and brass construction and has a brass tag that reads. By The Holtzer-Cabot Electric Co.
I have not tested this to see if it still puts out electricity but the magnets do still have magnetism. If you have any questions please contact me.
