Rare Antique Victorian Watkins Patent Photographic Exposure Meter R. Field & Co

Good example of a small brass photographic exposure meter dating from the late 1800s. It is engraved Watkins Exposure Meter.

It comes with its original paper instruction manual and. A spare'Sensitive Bromide Paper' in its original paper envelope. Both pieces have yellowed with age and the manual has some water stains and a few pages are loose but it is still readable. Remnants of a cardboard box.

The instrument is in good condition for its age. The outer brass case has some minor surface marks and light scratches and a small dink in the rim (see photo) but nothing detrimental.

It has been lightly cleaned and displays very nicely. The best description comes from the photos so please look at them all carefully and if you have any questions please ask.
