Complete with original brass case, this well engineered and well made item has stood the passing of time extremely well, and now makes a good collectors item. We have carefully cleaned it, to remove surface corrosion and debris and to show its original faces. The newly cleaned surfaces have been sealed with museum approved conservation resin, or micro crystalline wax. Both wax and the resin seals the surface against wear, moisture ingress, finger marks etc. Your item is unique, there may be similar items, but there is not another one exactly the same, anywhere in the world.Look after it, it can only increase in value. Care and cleaning, an occasional brush with a soft brush or cloth will keep the dust off. Do not use polish or abrasives. Old Bronze often has a wonderful malachite green patina, this patina is a product of age, and cannot be recreated. Where this patina is present we carefully clean the item, and seal it without damaging the patina.
