This is a rare Tyco Stormograph Barograph by Short and Mason in good working order. The Mahogany case has light general wear and tear but nothing worth mentioning.
Its unusual in that the vacuum chamber is underneath the brass workings as you can see in the last two pictures. You can find a similar one on display in the Sidney Museum Of Applied Arts And Science. The Barograph uses a mechanical clockwork movement which is in good working order. To wind it up you just lift the lid off the brass drum. The plaque on the inside of the glass dates it to 1921.
It comes with spare charts but it may need ink. It stands 19cm high 36cm wide and 21cm deep. This is a good quality and very unusual antique Barograph in full working order.
