Old, mahogany sound instruments from science demonstrations

Thanks for checking out one of my items, if you like this you will probably like other items i have, i get tons of stuff in diverse fields of collecting and use. THIS ITEM IS-----great and early, but not exactly sure what for. Each just a bit over 12 inch llong, the hook part will extend out. I dont find any manufacture.

They make a great sound when hit. They are sitting in and old torn felt bag in poor shape.
