We are pleased to bring to you this Oertling Release-O-Matic Model 126 set of balancing scales. This equipment was manufactured in England in 1955. These scales distinguish themselves from other precision balances by providing a mechanical means of lifting and placing weights. The weights are placed using two dials on the side of the unit, removing the need for them to be handled manually by the operator. These scales are mainly constructed from brass, with a stainless steel pan on the left and mechanical placing mechanism on the right.

They are enclosed within a glass cabinet with opening front and side. There are three feet under the device, two of which are adjustable via screws. There is a full set of weights provided that must be placed on two levels of racks in a specific way in order for the grammes on the dials to correspond to the weight of samples being measured.

These scales are in overall very good condition. We believe that they are fully functional, but they are presented here as ornamental.
