A fully working Nippon / Nikon Model S polarising microscope. Made in Tokyo, probably in the late 1970s, and designed for use primarily in the metallurgical sciences, though offers a variety of other uses. The body is marked Nippon Kogaku, Tokyo, and it comes with all-Nikon accessories. The optics all appear clean and free of internal blemishes. The microscope has an electric illuminator (bulb bright and untarnished), polarising condenser, rotating mechanical stage, 4 Nikon polarising objectives, slide in/out wave plate, analyser, trinocular head with Nikon eyepieces, and a Nikon PFM camera attachment with Nikon 35mm EM body.
Comes with a special transformer that we have had made for this specific microscope.
