A Rare and Fine condition COOKE MCArthur Microscope. The Microscope is in satin Finished Metal and black lacquer. The microscope was manufactured by Vickers Instruments and has its original x10 Vickers eyepiece. Sliding objective rack with 3 objectives. 1 Vickers 16 mm Achromatic 0.20 NA Serial No: U3872. 2 Vickers x40 0.65 NA Serial No: U5514. 3 Vickers x40 Metallurgical 0.65 NA Serial No: U5510. All objectives are in top condition. There is a continually variable iris diaphragm and condenser lens. Focus is via 2 knurled knobs either side of the microscope divided into MICRONS. Patent No: 863102 {Engraved at the rear}.
The microscope also comes in its original high impact protective 2 part plexi-glass case with sponge supports to top and bottom.
