A good quality extending and articulating Lacquered Brass Microscope Candle Fan. The candle fan is on a folding heavy duty solid lacquered brass foot with removable extending vertical support and original folding scientific green silk fan.

The instrument is in its Morocco leather covered wooden case with plush lined fitted interior and red silk padding to the lid. Fan silk is in distressed condition and needs attention.

All Silk folds look to be present. The Fan dates from around 1850. The lacquer is original and generally fine except for the shown image.
