An outstanding and Rare early 19th Century Telescopic extending example of a Microscopists Candle Fan in its original plush lined fitted {part} Case. The Candle Fan is in exceptional condition and is of green Chinese Silk and stitched to its brass support. The Instrument has an extending telescopic column with ornate brass tips the lacquered brass is all original and the folding quadrant foot has ornate rococo style mouldings. The Fan mount is fully articulating. The fan is probably French or Austrian.

NB: The case lid is missing. Case Dimensions = 5.5 x 1.5 x 1 Inches.
