A Rare Folding Foot, Expedition or Campaign Microscope. The Microscope is in its original Heavy polished Mahogany fitted case with working Lock and Key. The Microscope has a rare Smith & Beck Style folding foot, suggesting it was a special order for expedition or Campaign use. The Case consists of the Microscope in good working condition with no damage to the rack and pinion mechanism. The focus mechanism is firm.

There are 3 lacquered brass objectives. The 1/12th is in its canister and engraved R&J Beck.

There are two Eyepieces and a Live cell. The microscope has a beveled glass circular rotating stage with original fitted brass stage clips and screws. The Substage has a removable rotating disc Diaphragm. The articulated mirror is double sided. The Body tube can be reclined for ease of use.

The Classic reverse "Y" shaped foot allows the microscope to be folded into its fitted chest wooden case for minimal use of space.
