Large Oak Aneroid Wall Barometer Circa 1900

For sale is large and impressive oak cased wall barometer. Dating, I believe from the late Victorian, early Edwardian era, circa 1900. The fine architectural oak case has well carved detail with no damage or missing pieces. Overall height is 101cm (just under 40 inches). There is no maker's name and the weight unpacked is approximately 6.4 kilos.

The working barometer has an 8 inch (20cm) diameter white china dial with a bevelled glass. The mercury thermometer has a china register plate with some minor age cracking/crazing, but not in my opinion sufficient to detract from it's appearance (please see photos).

As this is a large and fragile instrument, collection in person from London NW3 would be preferred. Please note that the photos form part of the description.
