Very nice example of an antique barometer dating from around 1900. It is cased in a brass bulkhead style mount with glass covering the face.
The white face has a barometer dial marked from 28" to 31" and a black arrow pointer which reads the pressure and a brass arrow which can be adjusted from the screw in the middle to mark the current pressure and read the change. There is a brass ring in the top of the case for hanging the barometer. It is in good condition for its age. The glass is clean and has no major surface scratches. The face is clean and bright with no damages.
There is a small dent near the bottom of the brass casing (see photo) and some general marks and signs of age and use. The brass case has been lightly polished to retain its natural aged patina and displays very nicely. It seems to be in working order. I've done'the bag test' and the pointer certainly moves as it should do but i cannot guarantee its accuracy as I haven't referenced the readings. The best description comes from the photos so please have a good look and if you have any questions at all please ask.
