John Russell was the Royal Barometer maker to his Royal Highness the Prince Regent. The case is made from Mahogany and is cross banded in fruitwood on the edges of the main body of the Barometer. The case has a good patina with an oval Mahogany cistern cover.

There is a trade label on the back which adds to its character. It seems to be in good working order.
