It was crafted in the United Kingdom and is made of brass, making it a great addition to any collection of scientific instruments. Original Mahogany Box with a Beautiful Victorian Brass Handle, The Box has the words Birm Univ Geology 4 and I can confirm that the gentleman who originally owned this was a prominent Geologist.
