Early Victorian Wood Compass
Early Victorian Wood Compass around 160 years old. Beautiful, crisp and clear in all respects.

Likely a small business workshop employing craftsmen Barkers? Hinges triangular, glass no longer nibbled, needle with crown cap, stop simplified, card interesting with both degrees and boxed in traditional manner. The clasp itself still hand made, now a figure 7. Overall, this well made mahogany compass appears to have spent most of it's life in a drawer or cupboard, thereby retaining shape and remarkably good condition.
