A fine shagreen pocket drawing set of silver or nickel silver? And steel drawing instruments comprising a bone scale ruler, compass dividers with attachments for inking and lead lines, and a fine bow compass. The set is housed in a shagreen etui with silver moulding, clasp, hinge and a silver cartouche on the lid.

Interior of the case is lined in red velvet. All instruments are engraved with the owner or possibly makers initials in a fine cursive script. A similar pocket sized set is in the collection of the Oxford Museum of the History of Science.
