Early 19th Century Chevallier Monocular Opera glass in original case

This rare 2 draw gilt brass monocular opera glass is signed'L' INGR. CHEVALLIER OPTICIEN du ROI VIS A VIS LE MARCHE AUX FLEURS' around the eyepiece. The gilt brass body has an oxbone banding which is in good condition, although it does have an age crack, but this does not affect the functionality and it is firmly in place.
