An Exceptionally Rare and complete, Multiple Mercury Displacement Switch apparatus of Museum Quality and Interest. The Large piece of apparatus works on a balance system and consists of: 10 Separate switch possibilities controlled by multiple connection and ten bobbin resistors. The standard style fulcrum Balance has 2 Electromagnetic dampers to either end of the scale that react to the current changes either lowering or raising the 10 x 2 electrodes into the glass Mercury Vials There is a Brass Spirit level for balancing the fulcrum arm {NB Bubble needs replacing}. And there are 2 large lacquered brass spheres that move up and down on the underside of the the arm for levelling the balance against the spirit level. The wiring is in outstanding condition and connections are made via the lacquered brass screw terminals. The apparatus is of Natural unpolished rich Mahogany. Minor damage to top of some of the resistor bobbins. Base Dimensions = 26 x 12 Inches.
