A fun and simple way of exploring the workings of 2 Stroke Engine. This one is a little unusual in that it has reed valve inlet directly into the crankcase. This one is from a Flymo hover mower. I completely stripped the engine then sectioned it. Cleaned and bead blasted the castings and then applied several coats of primer and paint.
I then reassembled it in such a way that it can be revolved by the cranking handle. As the handle is turned the crankshaft goes round which drives the con rod and piston up and down the cylinder. The inlet, exhaust and transfer ports can all be seen on this one. The piston has been carefully cleaned to remove the carbon. It makes a fascinating and very different instructional / educational / unusual desk toy that catches peoples eye.(everyone who sees it cant resist turning the handle). It will be delivered via a tracked and insured courier. I do try and keep a few cutaway engines listed however my stock is constantly changing and each engine I section turns out differently so if you see an engine you like, you know what to do. Approximate dimensions are as follow Length 24 cm including spark plug Width 10 cm. Height 22.5 cm including handle.
Piston / Bore 53 mm. Weight 2.9 kg (un-packaged). Please feel free to ask any Questions.
