V push rod operated cut away / sectioned 4 stroke engine. This one makes quite a statement with its now fully exposed pushrod operated valve gear, sloping cylinder and mostly black colouring. This one will provide interest and intrigue for both the engine enthusiast and Educational fraternity.

I completely stripped the engine, de-greased all the parts then bead blasted and acid cleaned the castings to provide a key for the paint. Primed painted and lacquered the castings. I then reassembled it in such a way that it can be revolved by the removable cranking handle all the internals can then be seen working. V it has push rods running from the camshaft / cam followers up to the now prominent valve gear / rocker arms, The crankshaft is driven by the removable cranking handle which then drives the con rod and piston up and down the cylinder while also rotating the cam shaft via the now exposed gearing which then operates the valve train which is fully operational and operates as it would in a fully functional engine (its even timed correctly). The piston has been thoroughly cleaned and then hand polished.

It makes a fascinating and very different instructional, educational, unusual desk toy / teaching aid or counter display for related trades that catches peoples eye. (everyone who sees it cant resist turning the handle). This one is mounted on a matt black wooden base which makes the gloss black engine stand out nicely, while helping protect any surface it stands on. I do try and keep a few sectioned engines listed however each one is different and my stock is constantly changing. Width 23 cm Depth 25 cm (22cm handle removed). Piston / bore 60 mm. Weight 5.6 kg (un- packaged).
