V push rod operated cut away / sectioned 4 stroke engine. This one turned out rather nice with its natural aluminum finish and prominent push rod operated O. V valve gear it really looks the part and makes a statement. I have mounted it on a matt black wooden base which helps protect any surface it stands on.

A very eye catching style of engine with its now fully exposed valve gear this one will provide interest and intrigue for both the engine enthusiast and Educational fraternity. I completely stripped the engine and sectioned it then sand blasted all the casings and sealed them with several coats of lacquer as unsealed alloy castings go dull and grey at an alarming rate. I then reassembled it in such a way that it can be revolved by the handle all the internals can then be seen working , This one is a little more complicated than the side valve types I usually section, being O. V it has push rods running from the camshaft up to the now fully exposed valve gear / rocker arms, The flywheel / crankshaft is driven by the cranking handle which then drives the con rod and piston up and down the cylinder while also rotating the cam shaft via the now exposed gearing which then operates the valve train which is fully operational and operates as it would in a fully functional engine (its even timed correctly).

The piston has been thoroughly cleaned and the crown hand polished and lacquered. It makes a fascinating and very different instructional, educational, unusual desk toy / teaching aid or counter display for related trades that catches peoples eye. (everyone who sees it cant resist turning the handle). I do try and keep a few sectioned engines listed however each one is different so if you see an engine you particularly like then grab it as each one is pretty much unique so when its gone its gone.
