Cut Away, Sectioned, Display Engine, 4 Stroke, OHC. Stationary, Teaching engine

C cam belt operated cut away / sectioned 4 stroke engine. This one is just about the nearest you can get to modern O. C car engine in an easily transportable single cylinder formation it allows you to fully explain the workings of the cam belt and the the importance of valve timing.

With the exposed valve gear it really looks the part and makes quite a statement. Several car garages now have one of these for explaining cam belt importance to customers. A very eye catching style of engine this one will provide interest and intrigue for both the engine enthusiast and Educational fraternity.

I completely stripped the engine sectioned it, acid cleaned all the parts. Painted the internals and casings. I then reassembled it in such a way that it can be revolved by the removable handle all the internals can then be seen working , This one is a little more complicated than the side valve types I usually section, being O.

C it has a toothed timing belt running from the crankshaft up to the now fully exposed valve gear / rocker arms / Camshaft, The crankshaft is driven by the removable cranking handle which then drives the con rod and piston up and down the cylinder while also rotating the cam shaft (its even timed correctly). The piston has been carefully cleaned then hand polished.

I have mounted this one on a black wooden base to protect any desk / surface it stands on. It makes a fascinating and very different instructional, educational, unusual desk toy / teaching aid or counter display for related trades that catches peoples eye. (everyone who sees it cant resist turning the handle). I do try and keep a few sectioned engines listed however each one is different so if you see an engine you particularly like then grab it as each one is pretty much unique so when its gone its gone.
