A nicely engineered Cooke V100 transit theodolite by Vickers Instruments, presented within its original fitted mahogany case. Vickers Instruments took over the famous Cooke, Troughton & Simms company in 1963 and operated through until 1989.
This particular instrument is believed to date to 1966. It survives in good condition with clear optics, all spirit levels intact, all controls working and just a few losses to the original paint.
