Offered for sale is a large and early Culpeper microscope retailed by R. The microscope was made during the last quarter of the c. 18th and stands 40 cm in working position. It is unmarked but there is a R. Sadd label on the door who was probably the retailer. This is one of the largest models ever made and wears a lovely laqueur. Unfortunatelly it has few accesories and the drawer, except the front, was replaced. Two of the objectives provide correct images, typically from this era, as lenses were chromatic. It has also a beautiful set of unmounted bone slides. Case is in very good condition but a small part of the rear is missing. 18th Culpeper brass microscope (c. 1785)" is in sale since Monday, December 27, 2021.
