RARE EARLY CIRCA 1848 DANIEL DAVIS - BOSTON - ELECTRO-MAGNET "HELIX ON STAND" DEMONSTRATION LAB COIL BASED ON JOSEPH HENRY'S INVENTION. A wonderful example by DANIEL DAVIS - BOSTON of Joseph Henry's invention of the ELECTRO-MAGNET COIL or "HELIX" - CIRCA 1848. Coil is 4" LONG x 3/4" DIAMETER. Wear, chips and scratches consistent with age and use. Basically in very good shape.
