British Army Stanley G150 degrees version prismatic compass
A Stanley G150 degrees version liquid filled prismatic compass, as used by the British Army in the Falklands conflict, and again in the first Gulf war. This particular compass does have some paint loss on the brass body but no dents, it also has the Nato stock number 6605-99-967-919 on the underside with the serial number of 87755. Although the tritium light on the mother of pearl dial has been dislodged and laying in the base (see last photo), it's still in good working order with no air bubbles in the clear fluid. The remaining tritium lights are in place but due to the age are no longer active. Weighing just under 300 grams and measuring 60mm in diameter by 35mm in depth, this is a serious compass designed in the 1970's which ceased production under the Stanley name in the late 1990's, and fast becoming a sought after collectable. Please study the photos as they are part of the description, and I will be happy to answer any questions if I can. Please check out my other auctions for more interesting items.
