Zeiss Ikon Barometer, which was made in Berlin, and is dated 18 August 1936. I consider this the best model of the Ikon barometer, having its scale in both inches of mercury and millibars. This model, for the English market, shows "High", "Normal" and "Low".

There is an English version which only shows inches. You can find them with French or German scale labelling.

They are usually in millibars only. It works perfectly, tracking the local weather station by 1 millibar (a live university feed).

And its current location is 60 metres above. The reference pointer moves freely and holds its place when set to a number. The scale markings, numbers and lettering are all perfect. The chrome is in good condition. The glass is all original and undamaged.

The base has its original "plastic" cover. And the base's printed-paper instructions are excellent with a hand written date "8.18.36". There is one dent at the base. It is 15 mm at its widest (at the base rim) and rises 5 mm up from that. Only one dent after getting through the second world war!

You can see some dust at the base of the dial, in between the two glasses. The base is 10 cm diameter. The rectangular "dial" is 12.5 cm in height, 7.5 cm wide, and 1.5 cm thick. The barometer stands 15.5 cm tall. Please contact me with any questions.
