Antique Victorian Brass Microscope - John Browning, London. An antique John Browning microscope believed to be from the 1870s in fair condition. One of the small brass posts on the slide holder is missing and the bezel around the eyepiece is missing. There is damage to one side of the double sided mirror (the silvering is otherwise good), and there may be other small elements of damage or wear. The microscope is engraved John Browning, LONDON with a number, 510, below the engraving.
The eyepiece and objective are present and an image can be made out. (The small marker pen marking, BB, that you can see in one of the photos has been removed by me after taking the photographs - it came straight off with some isoproply alcohol and has not affected the patina). _gsrx_vers_1292 GS 8.3.6 (1292).
