Antique Sikes' Hydrometer J. Davis & Son Complete Set with Hydrometer Tables

An antique Sikes' Hydrometer produced by J. Davis & Son of London and Derby, housed in a mahogany box with satinwood stringing. The set is complete with two lovely bovine bone alcohol proof slide rules, undamaged "Davis" branded bovine bone backed thermometer, brass weights and float with matching serial numbers and a leather backed copy of hydrometer tables. Davis & Son opened a London office in 1877 and became a Ltd company in 1900, the set would have been produced sometime between those two dates. Condition is very good, with wear commensurate with age and use, there is a small ding in the bulb of the float.
