Antique M. Pillischer Brass Field Microscope in Wooden Case Scientific Science

Hello and welcome to the sale of this superb antique microscope. Dating from the 19th century this travel microscope is made entirely from brass and comes in a wooden travel case. It is made by M. Pillischer of London and has a serial number of 4020. It has two lenses (5/8 & 1/7) and two optics (2 & 3). It also has a device that sits between the lens and the body of the microscope, that has a slot in and allows different amounts of light in, but I don't know what it's for. As you can tell, i'm no expert in these items, however it appears complete and in good condition and everything seems to move freely as it should.

However it comes with no guarantee. In good condition commensurate with its age and use. Please have a good look at the photographs as they form part of the description and contact me if you have any further questions. The microscope measures (in cm) 27 to 31 tall, 9 wide and 12.5 deep.
