This antique Holosteric barometer is a stunning piece of scientific instrument. The brass cased barometer was manufactured by John Bruce & Sons of Liverpool in the late 19th century. It is a rare find and a true gem for those who appreciate the beauty of vintage scientific instruments. The barometer is made of solid brass and features a silvered dial signed'HOLOSTERIC BAROMETER' and'JOHN BRUCE & SONS LIVERPOOL'. The glass is cracked as can be seen in the photographs.

The barometer has been bag tested and is in good working condition. Its elegant design and accurate readings make it a perfect addition to any scientific instrument collection. In accordance with Grace Guide John Bruce and Sons were Nautical, engineering and scientific instrument manufacturers. It is also understood that John Bruce & Sons were MAKERS TO THE ADMIRALTY and John Bruce & Sons who were established 1867, were maker to the Queen of Spain.

The approximate MAXIMUM dimensions are : 5 1/8 " / 13 cm diameter x 2 1/8 " / 5.5 cm deep. CONDITION : The barometer is by a good maker.

The glass is cracked and there is a dent to the case to the right side as can be seen in the photographs. Please study photographs carefully as they form part of the description and condition, as what you view is exactly what you will receive.
