An antique late 18th century brass mounted boxwood Dicas comparative proof excise silde rule with scales to both sides and with a central sliding scale, signed'Dicas Patentee Liverpool' and'Proof' to one side, circa 1780. Size : Approx 11" long 12 3/8" inc. The slide Condition : One edge on each end of the slide has a small loss (see last 2 photos) otherwise good used antique condition with expected light marks / wear / staining.
