Antique electrical'multimeter' testing equipment, Weston Electrical Corporation
An antique electrical test multi meter testing rig comprising Weston 271 millivolt meter, Weston 267 voltmeter and Weston 267 ammeter, collectively mounted on an instrument board and housed within an oak case with removable doors to front and back, each with working lock and key. 32cm x 20cm x 14cm overall. Each instrument bears the original maker's plate with serial numbers, the two smaller meters with patents dating back to the late 1890s. Edward Weston (third image, stock photo) was an English-born American scientist most famous for his invention of the electrochemical cell and president of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers between 1888 and 1889. He won a number of high profile contracts including the illumination of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. The Weston Electrical Corporation was founded in 1888 and developed a broad range of electrical test equipment including voltmeters, ammeters, wattmeters, ohmeters, frequency meters etc. Please accept my sincere apologies for these increased costs.
