Antique Copper Steam Sterilizer Glass Petri Dish Specimen Container Science Lab

Absolutely super cool copper sterilization containers with internal copper lift and original glass petri dishes, with metal lids. I originally thought these were field collection storage containers for a lab, or other science application. Now, I believe the copper storage containers were used to sterilize the contents in the petri dishes, for either scientific or medical use. Either way, the patina on the outside of both tubes is incredible. A beautiful green, combined with writing on the containers, and general wear from use and time.

All combines to make two great pieces of history, and two great display pieces, and a great conversation starter. There is a large "302" written on each tube, along other writing and indications on the lids. The petri dishes are glass and each have a metal lid, silver in color, also with various writing, which looks to be classifications. Tubes stand about 10 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter. Petri dishes are about 3 3/4 diameter. Includes 10 glass petri dishes with lids, two internal copper lifts and the two copper storage units.
