Our Stock # 18.5641. This is an antique Comitti stick barometer. An English, rosewood and mahogany feather fan barometer dating to the early 20th century, circa 1910. Select cuts of rosewood display rich hues throughout. Displays a desirable aged patina. Original silvered face in good order. Weather conditions marked on graduated scale, with adjustable change slider.
Annotated for temperature in Fahrenheit and Centigrade. Displays the maker's mark of Comitti Holborn and further marked as Made in England. Classic broken arched pediment with a decorative brass finial. Mahogany inlay adds an elegant decorative touch. Hemispherical cistern cover features at the bottom.
