An English, brass scientific instrument, dating to the early 20th century, circa 1920. Fascinating cased microscope with distinctive articulated function.

Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Polished brass frame presents bright golden tones and minimal tarnish. Original glass mirror shows in very good condition. Articulating upon a central axis, the scope can be tilted fore and aft and side-to-side.

Monocular scope with single viewing objective beneath the slide stage. Focal adjustment achieved by a pair of vernier dials. Quality walnut case dressed with an inset, working lock - key present. This is a delightful antique cased scholar's microscope, with a bright golden finish and of scientific collector appeal.
