ITEM DESCRIPTION This is a nice antique Ophthalmoscope, an optometrist's instrument for looking into the eyes. It has a removeable screw-in celluloid plastic handle on a moveable mirror to bounce light into the eye. It also has a changeable lens for different focal lengths for looking deeper into the eye. The instrument itself doesn't have any maker's marks on it but it is in its original bespoke made case which has a label from Millikin & Lawley, London inside.
