ANTIQUE BRASS MICROSCOPE & CASE GOOD WORKING ORDER LATE 19thC

An unsigned, polished & professionally lacquered brass Society of Arts type of Microscope, probably dating from the late 19th Century. The instrument is in good full working order, with a smooth operating rack & pinion & fine focus.

The stage clips are present & underneath there is a rotating wheel of light stops, below there is a good concave mirror. Optically it is good too.

The triple lens stacking objective lens has a combination of powers and it good even at the highest power. Everything works as it should.

Mahogany dove-tailed case is in good order with original colour & polish , measures 23 x 19 x 15.5cms. Good hinges, handle & lock (no Key). I often use recycled materials & carefully extra pack the items to arrive safely. The item "ANTIQUE BRASS MICROSCOPE & CASE GOOD WORKING ORDER LATE 19thC" is in sale since Sunday, May 10, 2020.
